Buttercream Piping Basics (Beginner and beyond)

Recommended for students 16 and older.  12 to 15 year olds may attend if accompanied by an adult who has also purchased a ticket.

Jen Anderson, Owner of Jenny’s Cakestand LLC, will teach you the basics of buttercream piping! No experience required.

You’ll learn fundamental techniques for coloring buttercream (demo only), filling piping bags, and piping designs using several traditional piping tips.  We’ll also play with some not-so-run-of-the-mill tips.  You’ll spend plenty of time practicing piping styles on wipeable boards before moving on to design and decorate a half dozen cupcakes to take home.  Extras like sprinkles, sugar pearls, dragees and more will be available to add to your designs.

Each participant will take home 6 decorated cupcakes.  All materials needed for the workshop will be provided for in class use.  Decorating kits will be available for purchase at the end of class.
