Piping Buttercream Flowers (Advanced beginner/Intermediate)

Recommended for students 16 and older.  Some piping experience is helpful/preferred.

Jen Anderson, Owner of Jenny’s Cakestand LLC, will move beyond the rosette swirl and teach you essential flower piping techniques.  (Some piping experience is helpful/preferred.)

You’ll review fundamental techniques for coloring buttercream and filling piping bags, and move on to learn floral techniques including using a flower nail, piping various petal shapes and creating flower centers to add dimension and interest. You’ll receive

You’ll spend plenty of time practicing on wipeable boards before moving on to design and decorate a half dozen cupcakes to take home.  Extras like sprinkles, sugar pearls, dragees and more will be available to add to your designs.

Each participant will take home 6 decorated cupcakes as well as an illustrated guide of the techniques covered in class.  All materials needed for the workshop will be provided for in class use.  Decorating kits will be available for purchase at the end of class.
